Columbian or Maui
Ok so that got your attention, right? Oh the good old days..nough said. I just wanted to express my heartfelt thanks for the redcross and the southern baptists. If they had not been mobilized this incredible disaster would be much worse. To all the folks who think the response by washington has been anything less than criminal...well you will get a chance to be on the recieving end of government help someday. I can only hope it is after the revolution, if it isn't you may still be poor and politically questionable. We can all give some of our substance for this effort. Someone really needs to get george off the tv. Hint .... it is about the people, not the city infrastructure.
No more long winded excuses for selfishness please. Apathy is the opposite of love! I will bet someone told you it was hate. I am having trouble watching tv in the past couple of days. I am overwhelmed with joy at the survival of folks and sorrow for the loss. And yes verysaddened and dissapointed with our government.
It is not an original thought but worth repeating, if every church just took in one refugee family from the gulf coast, we could save a bunch more sorrow. It will be interesting to hear the sermon sunday. my guess is same old same old, it was probably written before the magnitude of the disaster was known. I wonder?
The green party has organized a web service for the hurricane katrina relief effort if you are so moved.
