Peace activists ?
Now it is time to ask the following questions. Why does the government spy on passivists? What harm can come of activist that want to stop killing. Is the government afraid of it's citizens? Is it a bit thick to spend incredible amounts of taxpayer money on survailance of the the Quakers? What about people for the ethical treatment of animals( PETA), or the Catholic Workers, Indianapolis Vegans, Geenpeace, or the Animal Liberation Front(ALF), big terrorist threats? What does the Government have to fear from the Quakers? Why does the Government persist in spying on basically passivist groups? What kind of threat, except for telling the truth? As has been succinctly pointed out in JB Krangers article on Tennessee Independent Media Center's site when asking moderate friends ," They have not been able to come up with anything resembling a logical explanation." Is it random acts of non-violent civil disobedience, or the stains tossed on celebrities that wear furs. Or maybe it is the trespassing at fort benning's school of the americas. What ever the threat is it has to be very big. Yea right!
Maybe it is the truth. The TRUTH? That is really scarry ? Enough to dedicate millions in assets to spying on peace activist? Has a single one of these groups ever been accused of killing people? How about human rights violations? Attacking innocent people? How many of these peace activist groups are under survailance? Why?
The question is who should the american people be afraid of NSA, the FBI or maybe the multitude of quasi- agencies in the pentagon... or the quakers, vegans catholic workers and peace activists?
